After over a year, the highly sought-after Wonder Woman skin has returned to the Fortnite item shop! This isn't just the skin itself; the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and Golden Eagle Wings glider are also back.
Epic Games' Fortnite consistently features exciting crossovers, collaborating with various franchises across entertainment, music, and even fashion brands like Nike and Air Jordan. This latest return highlights the game's ongoing commitment to bringing iconic superhero cosmetics to its players.
DC and Marvel superheroes are a staple in Fortnite's cosmetic offerings. Past collaborations with Marvel have even included new gameplay elements and weapons. Characters like Batman and Harley Quinn boast multiple variant skins, reflecting their diverse portrayals across different comic book iterations. Wonder Woman, a classic DC icon, rejoins the roster after a significant absence.
Community member HYPEX confirmed Wonder Woman's triumphant return after a 444-day hiatus, her last appearance being in October 2023. The skin, pickaxe, and glider are available individually or as a discounted bundle. The Wonder Woman skin costs 1,600 V-Bucks, while the complete bundle is priced at 2,400 V-Bucks.
This isn't a standalone event; December saw the return of other popular DC skins, including Starfire and Harley Quinn. The recent Japanese-themed Chapter 6 Season 1 also introduced new variants: Ninja Batman and Karuta Harley Quinn.
Fortnite's current season, with its Japanese theme, continues to expand its crossovers, including a temporary return of Dragon Ball skins. A Godzilla skin is also on the horizon, with rumors of a Demon Slayer collaboration in the future. The return of Wonder Woman gives fans another opportunity to acquire cosmetics for this legendary female superhero.
