Hatsune Miku's Fortnite Arrival Seemingly Confirmed by Fortnite Festival
Excitement is building among Fortnite fans as hints strongly suggest a collaboration with Hatsune Miku is imminent. Leaks point to a January 14th debut featuring two Miku skins and new music tracks. This collaboration could significantly boost the popularity of the Fortnite Festival mode.
While usually tight-lipped about upcoming content, the official Fortnite Festival Twitter account has seemingly confirmed the partnership with Crypton Future Media, Hatsune Miku's creators. The confirmation came in response to a tweet from the official Hatsune Miku account about a missing backpack. The Fortnite Festival account's playful reply, indicating they have the backpack "backstage," is a significant departure from their usual cryptic style, suggesting an official announcement is near.
Fortnite leakers, including ShiinaBR, predict a January 14th launch, aligning with the game's next update. The anticipated release includes two skins: a classic Miku outfit (included with the Fortnite Festival Pass) and a "Neko Hatsune Miku" skin (available in the Item Shop). The origin of the Neko Miku design remains unclear.
The collaboration is also expected to add several songs to Fortnite, including "Miku" by Anamanguchi and "Daisy 2.0 Feat. Hatsune Miku" by Ashniiko. This collaboration could be a game-changer for Fortnite Festival, which, while popular, hasn't reached the same level of hype as the main Battle Royale mode or other recent additions like Rocket Racing and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. The hope is that collaborations with major names like Snoop Dogg and now Hatsune Miku will propel Fortnite Festival to the heights of classic rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
