Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Mobile RPG Beta Test Announced

Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. Set during the show's fourth season, this action-adventure game promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.

The closed beta, running January 16-22, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, offers fans early access to the game's class-based progression system, featuring fully manual controls. Players can choose from various classes, including knights and assassins. The game boasts impressive graphics and a compelling story centered around a new character, the heir to House Tyre in the North. Beloved characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon are also confirmed to appear.

Announced in November 2024 and further highlighted at The Game Awards, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad aims to deliver "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat. Drawing upon the rich lore and character narratives created by George R.R. Martin and the HBO series, the game has the potential to become a standout mobile title with a captivating storyline.

The recently released trailer showcases the game's key features, including the class-based progression and fully manual controls. The game's unique story, inspired by Wildlings, Dothraki, and the Faceless Men, promises a fresh take on the Game of Thrones universe.

While fans eagerly await the next book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Winds of Winter, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad offers a compelling interim experience. The closed beta test, accessible via the game's official website, provides a chance to engage with this new chapter in the Game of Thrones saga before its full launch later this year. Other projects, such as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon season 3, further enrich the Game of Thrones experience for fans.
