Team Cherry's highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be absent from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, according to Geoff Keighley, the event's producer. This news has understandably disappointed many fans.
Silksong's Absence Confirmed
The Hollow Knight community's hopes were initially raised when Keighley's initial Gamescom ONL lineup included a "+ More" section, hinting at unannounced games. Speculation ran rampant that this could finally bring an update on Silksong, which has been largely absent from the spotlight for over a year. However, Keighley later clarified on Twitter (X) that Silksong would not feature in the show. While this is disappointing, he did confirm that Team Cherry remains dedicated to the game's development.
Despite the lack of Silksong news, the Gamescom ONL still boasts an impressive lineup, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, MARVEL Rivals, and more.
