Golden Globe Win for Reznor and Ross Boosts Anticipation for Intergalactic Soundtrack

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the composers behind the upcoming Naughty Dog title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, have added another accolade to their impressive list of achievements: a Golden Globe for Best Original Score. This award recognizes their work on Luca Guadagnino's film Challengers.

The recent Intergalactic trailer showcased a preview of Reznor and Ross's composition, alongside licensed tracks featured in the game. Known for their extensive collaboration with Nine Inch Nails and acclaimed scores for films directed by David Fincher and Pete Docter, the duo previously won an Academy Award for The Social Network and Soul, along with numerous Grammys, an Emmy, and a BAFTA. Reznor also notably composed the soundtrack for Quake (1996) and the main title theme for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Accepting the Golden Globe for Challengers, Ross described the score as "never a safe choice, but always the right one," highlighting its contemporary, club-influenced electronic style perfectly complementing the film's themes.

This win further elevates the anticipation surrounding Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Given their versatility – from the haunting soundscapes of The Social Network to the ethereal beauty of Soul – their contribution to this potentially horror-infused space opera promises a truly exceptional soundtrack. With a track record devoid of significant missteps, Reznor and Ross are poised to deliver a memorable auditory experience for Intergalactic, regardless of the game's final narrative.
