Ned Luke, the voice behind GTA 5’s Michael De Santa, boldly predicts GTA 6 will rake in a staggering $1.3 billion on its first day of release. In a recent interview with YouTube channel Fall Damage, Luke shared his excitement, highlighting Rockstar Games’ unpredictable nature and the promise of something truly exceptional.

He reassured fans, stating, "What I tell people is, be patient. It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He referenced GTA 5’s impressive $800 million debut in 2013, confidently asserting that GTA 6 will shatter those records. This confidence is echoed by DFC Intelligence, a research firm projecting over 40 million copies sold and $3.2 billion in revenue during GTA 6's first year, with a billion dollars attributed to pre-orders alone.

The Return of Familiar Faces: GTA 5 Characters in GTA 6?

Luke also offered insights into the possibility of GTA 5 characters appearing in GTA Online and potentially GTA 6. He noted Michael's absence from GTA Online since its launch, unlike Trevor and Franklin. Luke hinted at Michael’s possible appearance in a speculated final GTA Online DLC or even a role in GTA 6 itself. This speculation is fueled by Steven Ogg (Trevor in GTA 5), who suggested in a January 2025 ScreenRant interview that Trevor could meet his end early in GTA 6, acting as a symbolic passing of the torch.

Luke remained coy, stating, "Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6, like [its online mode]. Maybe. Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything. And if we say anything, you know they will not be very happy." While both actors express enthusiasm for reprising their roles, no official confirmation regarding their appearance in GTA 6 has been made.

GTA 6: Entering the Testing Phase?

Former Rockstar Games animator, Mike York, suggests GTA 6 is likely undergoing internal testing. As reported by GamesRadar, in a since-deleted interview with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz, York emphasized GTA 6’s unique unpredictability as an open-world game. He stated, "There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it, you know? You really don't."

York believes the game is now in its internal testing phase, adding, "They're probably still putting in a little work and throwing in little extras," suggesting the game is at least playable and extensively tested by internal teams.

Rockstar Games initially unveiled GTA 6 with a trailer in December 2023, but has remained tight-lipped since. While a Fall 2025 release was previously speculated based on Take-Two Interactive's 2024 financial report, no official release date has been announced.
