HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent version 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch-day revenue in July 2024.
AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all encouraging increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.
This update's impact on player engagement was remarkably sustained. Unlike typical post-update spending declines after a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenue above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day two weeks after the update's release.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's other flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
