Iconic Bethesda Voice Actor of Skyrim, Fallout 3, and More Shares Heartfelt Message Amid Recovery

Bethesda's acclaimed voice actor, Wes Johnson, is recovering after a near-fatal incident. Found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room last week, Johnson has shared a moving message of gratitude from his recovery.

A GoFundMe campaign, launched by friends and family, has already raised over $174,000 to cover medical expenses and other bills. Johnson reveals in a video message that he was in a coma for five days.

"The rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated," Johnson states in the video. He credits his wife, Kim Johnson, and son for their quick actions in contacting the hotel and ensuring he received immediate medical attention. He also expresses deep appreciation for the outpouring of support, stating, "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there."

Johnson extends his thanks to numerous individuals and organizations, including the National Alzheimer's Association for their support of his family, Ted Leonsis for a significant donation, and friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker for initiating the GoFundMe. He also expresses his love and gratitude to Bethesda Game Studios, who publicly voiced their support, and to his fans for their donations and well wishes.

Johnson's extensive voice acting credits include a wide range of Bethesda titles, such as Starfield, Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Oblivion, among many others. While his recovery will take time, he assures fans, "I'm coming back," expressing his eagerness to return to work.
