Indus Surpasses Milestone with 11m Pre-Regs, Unveils Deathmatch

by Mia Feb 01,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, is heating up! A new 4v4 deathmatch mode has just been unveiled, adding to the already impressive roster of features. This news comes on the heels of another significant milestone: over 11 million pre-registrations!

While a full release date remains elusive, the game continues its closed beta testing. This latest update also includes an enhanced audio experience, boasting improved sound effects and music.

Developed specifically for the Indian gaming market, Indus offers a standard battle royale experience with unique twists, such as a Grudge system that rewards players for engaging in intense rivalries. Initially announced in 2022, the game has undergone several beta phases, steadily gaining popularity and exceeding expectations in a rapidly expanding mobile gaming market.

The 11 million pre-registrations mark a significant achievement, although the growth rate has slightly moderated since March, when the game reached 10 million. This slower pace, however, doesn't diminish the impressive overall numbers.

Anticipation for Indus's public launch is high. While the speculated late 2023 release didn't materialize, hopes remain high for a full release or at least a public beta in 2024.
