Konami's developers have provided an update on the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake. Series producer Noriaki Okamura confirmed that the studio's top priority for 2025 is delivering a refined, high-quality game that meets fan expectations.
Okamura stated in a 4Gamer interview: "We're focusing heavily on completing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by 2025." He indicated the game is currently playable from start to finish, with the remaining development time dedicated to polishing details and enhancing overall quality.
While PlayStation previously suggested a 2024 release, those plans were ultimately revised. Sources within the studio now point to a 2025 launch. The remake will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The remake aims to faithfully capture the essence of the original while incorporating updated gameplay mechanics and stunning modern visuals. Beyond graphical enhancements, Okamura also teased new features designed to improve the overall gaming experience.
Konami unveiled a Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer in late September. The over two-minute video showcased key moments, including the protagonist, antagonists, an airdrop sequence, and intense firefights.
