The Meta Quest Pro is officially discontinued. Meta's website confirms its unavailability, ending speculation following earlier announcements of its impending demise. The high price point of $1499.99, significantly more expensive than the standard Meta Quest line ($299.99-$499.99), hindered its adoption by both consumers and businesses. Remaining stock has now sold out.
Meta recommends the Meta Quest 3 as a superior alternative, boasting a better mixed reality experience at a lower price point. The Quest 3 offers higher resolution, a faster refresh rate, and a more powerful processor than its predecessor. It also maintains the mixed reality capabilities of the Quest Pro, allowing users to overlay virtual displays onto the real world. Furthermore, the Quest Pro's Touch Pro controllers are compatible with the Quest 3.
For budget-conscious users, the Meta Quest 2S provides a more affordable option with slightly lower specifications, starting at $299.99.
