The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially revealed during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, confirming earlier leaks. The game launches August 28, 2025. A new trailer debuted alongside the announcement.

A surprising Ape Escape crossover was also teased, with the tagline "And More" hinting at additional collaborations to come. This first crossover likely references the monkey minigame from the original Metal Gear Solid 3.
