Microsoft Announces Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Lineup

Microsoft has announced the exciting Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup! This announcement, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, highlights several day-one Game Pass titles, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth game.

The January 2025 Wave 2 kicks off January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the mountain in this snowy sequel to Lonely Mountains: Downhill, now featuring up to eight-player cross-platform multiplayer. Conquer the slopes together, sharing checkpoints, or race to the bottom for a thrilling competition!

January 22nd brings a flurry of additions. Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering multiplayer co-op fun as you collect adorable flying creatures. Explore beautiful landscapes together, seeking out rare additions to your flock. Also on the 22nd, Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive edition of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter delivers dynamic team-based multiplayer action. Choose from diverse heroes, upgrade abilities, and battle to control objectives.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a unique Japanese-inspired single-player Kagura action strategy game, launches on Game Pass Standard on January 22nd. Purify villages by day and protect the Maiden at night, repeating the cycle until peace is restored. Also joining Game Pass Standard on the 22nd are Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console). Starbound (Cloud and Console) rounds out the 22nd, arriving on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard after its PC Game Pass debut.

January 28th sees the day-one launch of Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This fantasy title from Yellow Brick Games, a studio founded by industry veterans, blends magical abilities with powerful weapons in a third-person action-adventure experience. Also launching on the 28th is Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a third-person shooter and trap defense game offering action-packed orc-slaying fun for up to four players.

Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on January 29th across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This emotional, dream-like journey features stunning artistic direction and a captivating narrative. Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC), a day-one release on January 30th for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, delivers unparalleled sniping mechanics and tactical third-person combat within occupied France. Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launches as a day-one title on January 31st for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This highly anticipated sequel is a dice-driven RPG set in a compelling sci-fi world.
