Should You Help the Miners in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Post Scriptum Quest Guide)

Navigating the choices in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, particularly during main and side quests, can be tricky. If you're debating whether to assist the miners in the Post Scriptum quest, this guide offers clarity.

How to Begin Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Post Scriptum Quest Start

The Post Scriptum side quest unlocks upon reaching the Kuttenberg region. Find the tavern west of Kuttenberg city, and speak with Kvyertsolav to initiate the quest. You'll be tasked with drafting a letter for the miners—but the path ahead is far from straightforward.

Crafting the Letter

Head to the Kuttenberg house to help Kvyertsolav compose the letter. Select the dialogue option, "Justice is worth more than silver." You can then choose your approach: refine the letter, submit it as is, or opt for a more aggressive, concise version. The ultimate outcome remains unchanged regardless of your choice. Afterward, the miners may attempt to harm you. A successful Speech check can defuse the situation and allow you to proceed.

Should You Betray the Miners?

If you survive the encounter, you'll face the decision of handing the miners over to the bailiff. This ends the quest immediately, yielding a reward of 100 groschen. However, this isn't the most lucrative or morally satisfying conclusion. A better course of action is to deliver the letter to Markold.

Choosing Sides: Markold or the Miners?

Next, speak to the bodyguard at Markold's house to gain access and deliver the letter. You can then choose to blackmail Markold, give him the letter directly, or collaborate with him against the miners. Blackmailing Markold is generally inadvisable due to the challenging Speech check and immediate quest termination.

Aiding Markold involves killing three miners, yielding a meager 60 groschen—the least rewarding outcome. It's far more beneficial to side with the miners. Deliver the letter to Markold as intended. He'll offer seven groschen and direct you to meet miners north of the city.

Proceed to the designated location, await the miners, and then head to their camp to speak with Myslibor. Markold will attack; assist the miners in defeating him to complete the quest. This earns you 160 groschen from Myslibor, while also securing a more positive resolution for the miners' plight.

This clarifies whether aiding the miners in the Post Scriptum quest is the best course of action in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more game tips and insights, including advice on the Semine storyline and romance options, explore The Escapist.
