Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Returns to Esports World Cup 2025

Following the apparent success of the Esports World Cup 2024, several publishers have confirmed their games' return for the 2025 edition. Hot on the heels of Garena's Free Fire confirmation, Moonton has announced that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will also be featured.

The 2024 tournament showcased two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events: the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women's Invitational. Teams from around the globe competed in Riyadh. Selangor Red Giants emerged victorious in the MSC, while Smart Omega Empress defeated Team Vitality (ending their 25-game win streak) to claim the Women's Invitational title.

A Strong Showing, But Is It Enough?

Most games from the 2024 Esports World Cup appear to be returning. However, it's notable that few, if any, are showcasing their premier tournaments at the event. The inclusion of MLBB's mid-season cup, for instance, might suggest the Esports World Cup is viewed as a secondary event rather than the main attraction. This is a double-edged sword; it avoids overshadowing existing leagues but could also be seen as less significant than the primary championships.

Nevertheless, fans of these games will undoubtedly welcome their return to this prestigious tournament. And for those intrigued by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, check out our tier list of top-tier characters!
