Capcom has rolled out an exciting new feature in *Monster Hunter Wilds* that lets players tweak their hunter and Palico appearances. While your first edit comes free of charge, any further changes will require you to purchase Character Edit Vouchers. You can grab these vouchers in packs of three for just $6, or opt for a combo deal covering both your hunter and Palico for $10. Without these vouchers, you're limited to altering hairstyles, eyebrow color, makeup, and clothing—core facial features remain untouched.

This monetization twist wasn't hinted at during the game's early previews before its full release. Capcom only dropped the news last week through their social media channels. Despite the buzz around microtransactions and some performance hiccups, *Monster Hunter Wilds* smashed records, boasting over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam at launch.
Capcom has yet to respond to the community's feedback on this move. Players are voicing their discontent with the paid customization model, drawing unfavorable comparisons to earlier games in the series where such changes were either free or could be earned with in-game currency. Many fans argue that this new approach detracts from a key aspect that defined the franchise.
