Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

by Simon Mar 17,2025

Capcom has extended the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage that disrupted the previous test period. The PSN outage, occurring Friday, February 7th at 3 PM PT, lasted approximately 24 hours. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five additional days of service.

This outage impacted online gameplay, including the highly anticipated second Monster Hunter Wilds beta, scheduled from February 6th to 9th. In response, Capcom announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session. The new dates are:

Thursday, February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – Monday, February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, also available in the full game, will still be awarded during this extended period. Despite the previous downtime, beta players were able to experience the game's challenges, including facing the formidable new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
