Ustwo Games has unveiled a short documentary titled Building the Impossible: The Making of Monument Valley 3. The game launched last week on PC and consoles, and the new video offers an intimate look at the creative journey behind the latest puzzle-adventure chapter.

The Making of Monument Valley 3 has been released on Ustwo Games’ official YouTube channel. The film reveals how the small London studio shaped Noor’s new journey through surreal geometry and tranquil seas.

The documentary takes us through sketch-filled rooms and melodic recording studios, highlighting the evolution of art direction across the trilogy and the experimental new mechanics introduced in the game.

You’ll also get a glimpse of the collaborative effort behind the soundtrack, now nominated for awards. Developers, artists, and the composer share honest reflections on crafting the visual illusions and immersive audio atmosphere.

Monument Valley 3 debuted on mobile devices via Netflix Games in December 2024. But recall when Netflix announced it was removing more than 20% of its mobile games? Unfortunately, all Monument Valley titles were included.
