Filler Metal is a rare drop found within the Factory area. Its spawn location is randomized each playthrough, making farming unreliable. The probability of finding it is low compared to other items. Accessing the Factory: Hangar fast travel point (unlocked after progressing through the main story) is recommended as a starting point for your search. Note that you may need to unlock this access point again depending on your story progress.

While movement speed boosts can marginally improve your chances, consistent farming is not feasible. The most effective strategy is to thoroughly explore the Factory, collecting all naturally spawning items. However, purchasing it remains the most reliable method.
