NieR: Automata's resource abundance varies greatly, but even common materials can become scarce when upgrading numerous weapons. Dented Plates, a frequently needed component, can be farmed efficiently using several strategies.

Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations in NieR: Automata

Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:

• Small Bipeds (all variants)
• Small Flyers (all variants)
• Small Spheres (all variants)

These basic enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on respawning enemies via fast travel isn't the most efficient method.

The optimal location is the arena where you first encounter Adam.

Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point. Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit. Here, machines continuously respawn, with numerous Small Bipeds being the most common enemy. While their level may be lower depending on your game progression, their Dented Plate drop rate is surprisingly good. This area is also a great spot for Titanium Alloy farming.

Alternatively, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. These groups typically drop at least one Dented Plate. Exploring the forest also provides opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Higher-level Bipeds yield a higher Dented Plate drop rate, so story progression increases both enemy density and the chance of obtaining this material.

Remember to equip drop-rate boosting plug-in chips to maximize your yield. However, losing these chips upon death is a significant drawback.
