by Aurora May 22,2025

Attention all Death Stranding fans! Get ready for an exhilarating journey as the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated to hit the shelves in June. The star of the franchise, actor Norman Reedus, recently shared some tantalizing details about the game and even dropped a hint about the upcoming film adaptation during an interview with IGN.

When asked about the possibility of playing himself in the film version, which is being developed by Michael Sarnoski and A24, Reedus responded enthusiastically, "If it was an option, yeah, for sure. I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course." This statement has sparked excitement and curiosity among fans eager to see how the game's narrative will translate to the big screen.

During the same interview, Reedus also touched on his experience with the first game and his anticipation for the sequel. Despite admitting to some initial confusion, he expressed unwavering trust in the visionary creator, Hideo Kojima. "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at," Reedus remarked. "He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to."

Regardless of the complexities within the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains enthusiastic about his involvement. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he shared with IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to be released on June 26, 2025, promising fans more action, a clearer narrative, and the unique experience that only Hideo Kojima can deliver.
