The developers at Pocketpair, creators of Palworld, gave their staff a well-deserved day off to celebrate the launch of Monster Hunter Rise (it seems there's a slight discrepancy in the game title mentioned). According to Automaton, the studio jokingly reported receiving numerous "mysterious" sick calls from employees anticipating the game's release on February 28th.

This generous gesture, while seemingly spontaneous, didn't impact game updates, Pocketpair assured fans. This isn't the first time Pocketpair has shown such employee appreciation; they similarly granted a day off for Elden Ring's release in 2022.
