Pokécology: An Official Encyclopedia For Pokémon Behaviors and Ecology

Launches in Japan in June 2025

The Pokémon Company, in partnership with the esteemed Japanese comic publisher Shogakukan, is set to launch a comprehensive encyclopedia titled Pokécology. This eagerly awaited book, announced on Shogakukan’s website on April 21, will hit the shelves in Japan on June 18, 2025.

Japanese bookstores are already accepting pre-orders for Pokécology, which is priced at 1,430 yen (tax included). While there hasn't been an official announcement regarding a global release, the worldwide popularity of Pokémon suggests that an English version will likely follow in the near future.

Pokémon Ecology Encyclopedia

Pokécology will delve deeply into the ecology of Pokémon, offering detailed examinations and analyses from multiple perspectives. The book will cover essential aspects such as Pokémon's diet, sleep patterns, physical characteristics, and their interactions with other Pokémon and the environment.

This innovative encyclopedia is a collaboration with leading experts, including veterinary behaviorists and ecology doctors from the University of Tokyo.
