Pokémon TCG Pocket's Trading Feature Launches, Alongside Space-Time Smackdown Expansion
Pokémon TCG Pocket players have a double reason to celebrate as January ends. The highly-anticipated trading feature is finally here, launching alongside the major Space-Time Smackdown expansion!
The trading system allows players to exchange cards with friends, mirroring the real-life TCG experience. However, there are limitations. Only certain card rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and trading requires resources like trade hourglasses and tokens. Despite these restrictions, it's a significant addition to the game.
Space-Time Smackdown introduces iconic Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia to TCG Pocket, along with Sinnoh region starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, and much more!

The trading feature's reception has been mixed, with some players expressing disappointment. While the feature itself is a positive addition, the numerous restrictions and resource requirements have been criticized. Some argue that a more accessible, unrestricted trading system would have been preferable. However, developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback and may implement changes in the future.
For players returning to the game, a guide to the best starting decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket is available to help refresh their strategies.
