Several older mobile devices will lose compatibility with Pokemon GO following upcoming updates in March and June 2025. This change primarily impacts 32-bit Android devices, leaving many long-time players needing to upgrade their phones to continue their gameplay.

Pokemon GO, a popular augmented reality game celebrating its ninth anniversary this year, boasts a substantial player base. However, Niantic's efforts to optimize the game for newer devices necessitate the discontinuation of support for older models. This decision, announced on January 9th, will affect various Android devices, including those downloaded from the Samsung Galaxy Store and Google Play.
