Players are voicing concerns about the visual presentation of the Community Showcase feature in Pokemon TCG Pocket. While appreciated as a social element, many find the display of cards alongside sleeves underwhelming and visually unappealing due to excessive empty space.
Pokemon TCG Pocket faithfully recreates the physical Pokemon TCG experience on mobile, allowing players to open packs, collect cards, and battle. The game includes a Community Showcase where players can publicly display their collections.
However, a recent Reddit thread highlights widespread dissatisfaction with the Showcase's aesthetics. Players point out that cards are shown as small icons beside their sleeves, rather than prominently featured within them. This has led to criticism, with some suggesting developer DeNA cut corners, while others speculate it's a design choice to encourage closer examination of each display.
Currently, there are no announced plans to revamp the Community Showcase's visuals. However, future updates will introduce a highly anticipated virtual card trading system, adding a new dimension to the game's social features. Despite the game's overall success, the less-than-stellar presentation of the Community Showcase remains a point of contention among dedicated players.
