Project NET: A Girls’ Frontline Successor?

Project NET, a GFL2 Third Person Shooter Spinoff, Opens Pre-Registrations

Initially announced on December 27, 2024, by Sunborn Network (the creators of Girls’ Frontline), Project NET underwent its first localized SEA test from January 9-16, 2025, encompassing Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Building upon the success of the Girls’ Frontline franchise (launched in 2016), which includes a popular strategy RPG gacha game, an anime series, and other titles, Project NET promises familiar characters and aesthetics within its innovative third-person shooter gameplay. Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, released December 5, 2024, further solidified the franchise's popularity.

While a release date for Project NET remains unannounced, the game is currently confirmed for iOS and Android, mirroring the platforms used in its initial tests.
