PUBG Mobile's Global Open Launch

by Oliver Feb 25,2025

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off with a massive $500,000 prize pool and over 90,000 competitors vying for glory. The Open Qualifiers, which began February 13th, provide a platform for aspiring talent to showcase their skills and compete for a coveted spot in the Main Event scheduled for April.

This year's PMGO Open Qualifiers are exclusively for amateur teams, ensuring fresh faces gain prominence in the competitive PUBG Mobile scene. Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. The remaining hopefuls will clash over the coming weeks, battling for a place in the PMGO Prelims. Here, they'll face off against the top performers from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

ytTwelve teams will emerge victorious from the Prelims, earning the right to challenge seasoned professional teams in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event berths based on their impressive PMGC 2024 performances. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers conclude on March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This marks the beginning of an exciting year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC returning later in 2025.
