The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege announcements, and this year was no exception. A highlight was the unveiling of Rauora, the newest Attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed specifically for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. The shield features a trigger mechanism, exploitable by both attackers and defenders. Attackers can open the shield in a single second, while defenders face a three-second delay—a potentially game-changing difference, especially in defuser situations.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a wider release on the live servers to follow.
