Remedy Unveils Latest Game Development Projects

According to Remedy Entertainment's latest annual report, Control 2 has successfully navigated through its concept validation phase and has now transitioned into full production. This milestone signifies a strong commitment to the project's advancement and future release. The game, boasting a budget of 50 million euros, is set to be self-published by Remedy and will be available on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC platforms.

In addition to Control 2, two other exciting projects are making significant progress: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. A year ago, these titles were still in the preparatory stages, but they have since moved forward into active development. FBC: Firebreak comes with a budget of 30 million euros and will be accessible through PlayStation and Xbox subscription services at launch, alongside availability on Steam and the Epic Games Store. As for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes, while their budget remains undisclosed, they are confirmed to be AAA-level games, with development and marketing fully supported by Rockstar Games.

However, not all projects have continued on this path. Kestrel, a project developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been removed from Remedy's lineup, having been canceled back in May of the previous year.

All these ongoing projects leverage Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, which has demonstrated its capabilities in titles like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy creations. The use of this engine not only enhances the development process but also ensures a consistent quality across their game portfolio.
