The highly acclaimed TV adaptation of "The Last of Us" officially secured its Season 3 renewal even before Season 2 began airing. But what about a potential Season 4? According to showrunner Craig Mazin, it seems almost inevitable.
In an interview with Collider, Mazin explained that wrapping up the entire storyline drawn from the two Naughty Dog-developed video games within a single third season would be nearly impossible without stretching it into an unfeasibly long runtime. While there's a possibility Season 3 might extend beyond the length of Season 2, Mazin admitted that completing the narrative in just three seasons is unlikely.
He went on to say: "Hopefully, we’ll earn our keep enough to come back and finish it in a fourth. That’s the most likely outcome."
