While the official website mentions 23 characters at launch, with more to come, the trailer showcases a massive lineup of iconic characters from the Sonic and Sega universes. Expect to see familiar faces like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, alongside fan favorites from Sonic Riders (Jet, Wave, and Storm), the Deadly Six (Zavok and Zazz), Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge, and E-123 Omega), the Chaotix (Vector, Charmy, and Espio), and even Blaze, Silver, Cream, and Big! Dr. Eggman and his robotic minions, Egg Pawn and Metal Sonic, round out this incredible cast.

Think theme park thrills on a grand scale!

The dynamic tracks, inspired by Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, add another layer of excitement. Expect the track to change throughout each lap, forcing players to adapt and master ever-evolving challenges. Get ready to navigate 24 main tracks and 15 incredible CrossWorlds!

Customization, Extreme Gear, and Gadgets, Oh My!

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds offers the most extensive vehicle customization yet! A February 17, 2025 tweet from the game's official account showcased deep customization options, allowing players to personalize everything from body parts and wheels to colors, tire designs, cockpits, and even the vehicle's glow.

But that's not all! Players can equip their characters with 23 different gadgets to optimize their racing style. And for fans of high-flying action, the return of Extreme Gear from Sonic Riders allows players to ride hoverboards for boost-based racing.
