High-End Hardware Needed for 4K, High Frame Rates

With launch just a week away (November 20th), the final system requirements for STALKER 2 have been unveiled. Even at minimum settings, you'll need a capable PC. High settings? Prepare for a serious hardware test. The demands are so high, they rival even Crysis' infamous requirements from 2007, especially at "epic" settings.

Beyond the minimum specs, smooth 4K gameplay at high frame rates demands a powerful rig. The storage requirement has also increased from 150GB to 160GB; an SSD is strongly recommended for optimal loading times—crucial in a game where quick reactions can mean life or death.

Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR will be included to boost visual quality without sacrificing performance. While FSR support is confirmed, the specific version remains undisclosed.

In a Gamescom 2024 interview with Wccftech, Lead Producer Slava Lukyanenka confirmed software ray tracing. Hardware ray tracing, however, is still under development and unlikely to be available at launch.
