GSC Gameworld has outlined the upcoming updates, focusing on two major enhancements: the Beta Mod SDK Kit and further A-Life system improvements. They intend to conduct a closed beta with mod makers to refine the ModKit before its official release. Additionally, they aim to integrate Mod.io and Steam Workshop.

The A-Life System will see continued enhancements to boost the game's NPC AI and simulation. After a significant 110 GB update for STALKER 2's Christmas patch last year, the developers are now focusing on "persistent A-Life improvements" and "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."

Additionally, a next-gen update for the original STALKER trilogy is in the works. More details will be shared as these updates approach their release dates.
