Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, hints at a potential PC port. While the game launched as a PS5 exclusive due to its Sony partnership, recent comments suggest a PC release is under consideration.
Stellar Blade's success, including a top US sales ranking in its launch month and an 82 average OpenCritic score, fuels this interest. During an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is being "considered," though a timeline remains unclear due to contractual obligations. CFO Jae-woo Ahn added that the shifting AAA market towards PC makes a port a financially attractive prospect, potentially increasing the IP's value.
A previous financial report already indicated Shift Up's exploration of both a sequel and a PC port for Stellar Blade. Given Sony's increasing trend of bringing PS5 exclusives to PC (as evidenced by the upcoming PC release of God of War: Ragnarok), a Stellar Blade PC port seems increasingly likely.
Despite the positive outlook, Shift Up is currently addressing graphical issues introduced by a recent PS5 update. The developer has acknowledged the problems and is working on a fix.
