To be perfectly honest, George Miller is my favorite director. He's the creative force behind two of my all-time favorite film franchises: Mad Max and Happy Feet (yes, there was a sequel, and it's worth a watch!). Apologies, I tend to get a bit carried away discussing Happy Feet.
The truth is, the Mad Max series masterfully blends the raw chaos of early '80s action cinema with a uniquely surreal vision of a post-apocalyptic Australia. Following the release of three films between 1979 and 1985, it appeared the saga would remain a beloved trilogy from a past era. Then, after that unexpected Happy Feet interlude, Miller suddenly returned to the franchise that launched his remarkable career.
With Tom Hardy assuming the iconic role from Mel Gibson, *Mad Max: Fury Road* arrived in 2015 to widespread critical acclaim, ultimately securing six Academy Awards. While the latest installment, *Furiosa*, may not have matched its predecessor's box office numbers, I stand by my claim that Mad Max is one of the greatest action franchises ever created.
As *Fury Road* marks its 10th anniversary, I highly recommend a Mad Max movie marathon. Here are your options for watching all the films online.

Plans start at $9.99 per month. Explore it on Max.
George Miller has directed five Mad Max films, including *Furiosa*. Currently, only the original 1979 movie and the latest prequel are available for streaming. Interestingly, you can find both of these titles on Max.
For the other films, your primary options are Premium Video On Demand (PVOD) platforms like Prime Video. There are also high-quality Blu-ray editions available, which are listed below.
If you prefer building a physical media library, you can purchase all the Mad Max movies on DVD and Blu-ray, including the Black and Chrome Edition of *Fury Road*:

To experience the Mad Max saga in chronological story order, you could watch the original trilogy by release date and then view *Furiosa* before *Fury Road*, as follows:
Mad Max Mad Max 2: The Road WarriorMad Max Beyond ThunderdomeFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga Mad Max: Fury Road
However, I believe *Furiosa* is best enjoyed as the final film in your marathon. Like many great prequels, some of its most impactful moments rely on your familiarity with the characters from *Fury Road*.
George Miller previously indicated that the future of the Mad Max franchise depended on the performance of *Furiosa*. While the prequel wasn't a massive box office smash, that statement does suggest the director still has stories left to tell in this dystopian world.
This possibility gained traction when Deadline reported that Miller "has a script" ready for another Mad Max film, likely referring to the rumored *Fury Road* sequel known as *The Wasteland*. That said, Miller has other projects in development, and a new Mad Max movie would require studio backing for what would undoubtedly be another major, high-cost production—an investment that should happen, though it may not be imminent.
