Partner/Indie World Showcase: A Treasure Trove of Games
Nintendo's decision to combine two smaller showcases was a smart move, resulting in a flurry of announcements. Highlights include surprise game releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory titles, and much more. A fantastic surprise release! This third Castlevania compilation features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes Haunted Castle, a notoriously difficult arcade game, and a much-improved M2 remake. The emulation is superb, offering a fantastic value for the price.
This frenetic platformer, reminiscent of Wario Land, is another surprise hit. Conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save your restaurant. Fans of classic Wario games will love this, but even casual platforming enthusiasts should give it a try. A review is forthcoming.
Yet another unexpected addition! Goat Simulator 3 continues the chaotic fun of its predecessors. While performance on the Switch is uncertain (given challenges on more powerful systems), the inherent silliness of the game might even enhance any potential performance issues. Experience the mayhem – at your own risk!
