Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action game, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back with a new name and release date! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this brawling, parkour-filled adventure is set to launch in 2025, with a pre-alpha test planned for January.
Based on the popular webcomic, The Hidden Ones takes place in modern-day China and follows young martial artist Zhang Chulan as he uncovers the incredible power behind his grandfather's teachings. His skills are in high demand, and those seeking them aren't taking "no" for an answer.
The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) showcases impressive visuals and introduces secondary protagonist Wang Ye. The gameplay blends intense 3D martial arts combat, energy projectile usage, and thrilling parkour sequences, including dynamic building-to-building traversal while dodging attacks.

A New Identity
Tracking down information on The Hidden Ones has been challenging, given the multiple names associated with the project. However, initial impressions suggest a truly impressive game from Morefun Studios. The darker, grittier aesthetic stands out, offering a more grounded feel compared to other 3D ARPGs.
Ultimately, the success of The Hidden Ones hinges on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material.
