Ubisoft's unannounced Project U has had a turbulent journey. Leaks began circulating in 2022 following closed beta testing, resurfacing two years later, hinting at ongoing development. Recently, a leaked introductory cinematic—shared by gaming blogger Shaun Weber, known for his leaks—has surfaced, suggesting a potential game reboot. While the cinematic's authenticity remains unconfirmed, Weber implies further leaks are possible if development continues.
Project U is anticipated to be a session-based co-op shooter, inspired by the success of Helldivers 2. The leaked footage depicts an alien invasion of Earth, with players fighting as specially chosen individuals against this extraterrestrial threat.
Ubisoft has yet to officially announce Project U or provide a release date.
