Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut
Marvel Rivals is kicking off its first season with a bang! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is a direct result of the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group, a move they felt would enhance the player experience.
This supersized season includes three new maps based on iconic New York City locations:
The initial wave of Fantastic Four heroes, Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist), arrive with Season 1. The Thing and Human Torch are slated to join the roster approximately six to seven weeks later in a substantial mid-season update.
While the developers haven't detailed how this expanded Season 1 will affect future content releases, it's currently anticipated that subsequent seasons will follow a pattern of adding two new heroes or villains.
The absence of Blade, a previously rumored addition, has disappointed some fans. However, the sheer volume of content in Season 1, along with ongoing speculation, keeps the community eagerly anticipating future updates from NetEase Games.
