World of Warcraft Has Good News For Players Who Missed an Important 20th Anniversary Event Achievement

World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates

World of Warcraft players can still earn the coveted Detective title and unlock the quest for the elusive Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC involved in the Guest Relations mystery questline.

Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal. Specifically, they are located in the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the stairs leading to Foundation Hall. Alyx now holds the title of "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," and their board, displaying clues to the location of missing Celebration Crates, remains active.

Obtaining the Detective Title:

The process involves finding and returning the 11 missing Celebration Crates to Alyx:

  1. Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal (requires level 68).
  2. Gather Clues: Examine Alyx's board for clues to the crate locations. (Note: Players must be level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests.)
  3. Collect the Crates: Locate and collect all 11 crates.
  4. Claim Your Rewards: Return the crates to Alyx. Six crates unlock the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, while all eleven unlock "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and most importantly, the Detective title. The Detective title is the key to initiating the Incognitro mount questline.

Important Note: While the Detective title and Incognitro mount quest remain accessible, other Guest Relations quests and achievements from the anniversary event (such as "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats") are no longer obtainable. Their associated rewards, including the Thinking Cap transmog, are currently unobtainable. The future availability of these specific quests remains uncertain.

This strategic move by Blizzard ensures that players are not permanently locked out of acquiring the Detective title and the unique Felcycle mount. The continued availability of Alyx and the Celebration Crate questline demonstrates Blizzard's commitment to preserving player progress and access to rare rewards.
