Warframe: 1999's Y2K-infused action gets a major boost this March with the Techrot Encore update. Digital Extremes' devstreams revealed a packed update, introducing the 60th Warframe, Temple, alongside four new Protoframes and much more. Prepare to face familiar foes in a new light.

Techrot Encore introduces the Technocyte Coda, a new Lich adversary—the boy band On-Lyne, previously featured in the game's ARG. These once-harmless pop stars have undergone a dramatic transformation, trading their microphones for deadly weaponry.

Fortunately, players will have plenty of new tools to combat this threat. Four new Scaldra weapons expand combat options, while enhancements to the Romance & Relationships system cater to romantic players. A new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin and the aforementioned Protoframes and Warframe round out the additions.

The unique Y2K aesthetic of Warframe: 1999 continues to charm, and the "boy band turned cybernetic monstrosity" enemies are a highlight.

Even before the March update, there's plenty to enjoy. Starting February 6th, the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast returns, alongside new skins and Nightwave Vol. 8, offering additional rewards.
