Geralt of Rivia Returns (in Voice Form) in Netflix's "The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep"
The voice of Geralt from the acclaimed Witcher video games, Doug Cockle, lends his talents to Netflix's latest animated addition to its Witcher universe: Sirens of the Deep. This animated film acts as a spin-off, set during the events of Season 1 of the Netflix live-action series. IGN critic Jarrod Jones notes that while the pairing of Cockle's Geralt and Joey Batey's Jaskier holds some appeal, its charm may be primarily for dedicated Witcher fans. Regardless, it might serve as a satisfying bridge until the release of The Witcher 4.

Where to Stream The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep streams exclusively on Netflix. Netflix subscriptions start at $7.99/month, and a free trial is not currently offered.
What is The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep About?

Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short story "A Little Sacrifice" from Sword of Destiny, Sirens of the Deep unfolds between episodes 5 and 6 of Netflix's Season 1. The official synopsis reads: "Hired to investigate attacks on a coastal village, mutant monster hunter Geralt uncovers an ancient conflict between humans and sea people, threatening war between kingdoms. With the help of allies, he must resolve the mystery before hostilities escalate."
Expanding the Witcher Universe
The Witcher franchise originated with Sapkowski's book series, chronicling the adventures of Geralt in a world inspired by Slavic mythology. CD Projekt Red's video game adaptations, particularly The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, achieved widespread critical acclaim, leading to numerous spin-offs and collaborations (including the popular Gwent card game). The Witcher 4, featuring a new protagonist, was announced at the 2024 Game Awards.
Netflix's involvement began in 2019 with its live-action series starring Henry Cavill. Season 4, starring Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, is slated for an April release.
Voice Cast and Crew

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep was written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin (also writers on the live-action series) and directed by Kang Hei Chul. Animation was a collaborative effort between Studio Mir, Platige Image (Poland), and Hivemind.
The voice cast includes Doug Cockle reprising his role as Geralt, alongside cast members from the live-action show:
