New Xbox Game Pass Game Confirmed for January 21

by Jonathan Feb 25,2025

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass is gearing up for a strong finish to January 2025, with a notable influx of new titles following a relatively quiet first half of the month. The highlight is undoubtedly Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, launching on January 21st as a day-one title for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. This exhilarating skiing game offers both co-op and PvP modes, promising thrilling gameplay.

Initially, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, like other recent day-one additions, will be exclusive to the Ultimate tier. The first half of January saw several Ultimate-only games transition to the Standard tier, but new additions were scarce until Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Ultimate).

The second half of January, however, makes up for the slow start. Following Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, three more day-one games are joining the lineup: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st).

Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw. Its Zelda-inspired gameplay is generating significant buzz.

The full list of January 2025 Game Pass additions includes:

  • Carrion - January 2nd
  • Road 96 - January 7th
  • Diablo - January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
  • Eternal Strands - January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st

February 2025's lineup remains largely unannounced, with only Avowed (February 18th, Game Pass Ultimate) currently confirmed. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have a packed end to January to look forward to before the February releases are revealed.
