The timing couldn't be better, with the Amazon Spring Sale in full swing, making it the perfect opportunity to grab some of the hottest sets while supplies last. My willpower crumbled faster than a 60 HP Basic facing a 390-damage Hydreigon ex.

My favorite part about the Surging Sparks set is its delightful chaos. It's packed with chase cards that are worth grading, like the $432 Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare. No, that's not a typo—the little electric mouse is not only a collector's dream but also a powerhouse in battles. Its Topaz Bolt move can clear nearly anything from the board, and Resolute Heart makes it incredibly tough to knock out.

Then there's the Latias ex and Latios duo, which bring a romantic touch with their connected artwork. Latias, the rarer of the two, commands a price of over $200, proving that being the elder sibling comes with a higher price tag. Milotic ex, on the other hand, is like a supermodel with its stunning light and shadow effects, and it also manages to counter Tera Pokémon effectively, making it a versatile card in competitive play.

My personal favorite is Ceruledge. Its neon-infused artwork feels like a fever dream, and I mean that in the best way possible. This is the first time Ceruledge has had a valuable card, and the illustrator, Rond, truly deserves applause—or at least a good cup of coffee. While Ceruledge might not be a top-tier Pokémon in competitive play, its art alone makes it a must-have for me.

The bundle comes with six booster packs, so while you're not guaranteed any big hits, the demand is high, and I wouldn't wait too long to grab one. After all, Pikachu isn't going to pull itself.
