Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming RTS-lite title, Battledom, currently in Alpha testing. This project, a spiritual successor to his 2020 hit Herodom, represents roughly two years of part-time development. Frenken describes Battledom as closer to his original vision for Herodom.
Battledom features dynamic RTS combat, allowing players to freely maneuver units across the battlefield. Engage enemies with targeted attacks and manually control siege weapons for devastating assaults. Strategic formations enhance the tactical depth of gameplay.
Players will amass coins to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weapons and no armor. Strategic customization is key; equip units with various weapons and armor pieces, each impacting range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.
Resource management is central. Instead of finding equipment, players must craft it within their village. Gather resources like wood, leather, and coal, then utilize the blacksmith, magician, and other village crafters to create necessary items.
Frenken's previous title, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating. This tower defense game features over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new hairstyles, body types, crops, and farm animals.
Join the Battledom Alpha by downloading TestFlight on your iOS device. For updates and news, follow Sander Frenken on X or Reddit, or explore his other games on the App Store.
