EA Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Future of Battlefield
EA has finally launched Battlefield Studios and given us our first glimpse of the next Battlefield game. To actively involve the community in shaping the franchise's future, they've introduced Battlefield Labs, offering early access to the upcoming title (potentially Battlefield 6). Here's how to participate.
What is Battlefield Labs?

Battlefield Labs is a new initiative designed to gather crucial player feedback. A select group of fans will be invited to participate in early, remote playtests, providing direct input to the developers at EA's Battlefield Studios. Think of it as a chance to be part of the development process, "stepping inside the war room."
EA will initially recruit a few thousand players from Europe and North America, with plans to expand globally to tens of thousands in the future. The program will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing: Key Differences
Unlike traditional beta tests, Battlefield Labs provides access to work-in-progress game content. Expect a higher number of bugs, unfinished elements, and potential technical issues than in a typical beta. EA is prioritizing raw feedback on core gameplay aspects like combat loops, map design, balance, and more. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and cannot publicly share information.
How to Join Battlefield Labs and Get Early Access
Visit the official Battlefield Labs webpage to learn more and register. You'll need to log in or create an EA account, link it to your preferred gaming platform, and then sign in. Be aware that you might encounter a queue; if so, remember you only have 15 minutes to access the website once your turn arrives.
After accessing the registration page, complete the required information and provide your email address. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates from the Battlefield Labs newsletter, including playtest invitations if you're selected.
EA has announced the next Battlefield game's release within their fiscal year 26 (FY26), meaning we can anticipate its launch before April 1, 2026.
