The First Bird Pokémon Is Landing in Pokémon GO During the Catch Mastery Event!

If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with several exciting events lined up, including the Catch Mastery event. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event adds another layer of fun to the mix.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event spotlights Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance to find their Shiny versions.

Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, you'll enjoy doubled XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there's Timed Research associated with the event, centered around catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, which will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Don't miss out on the Mega Absol Raid Day, scheduled for March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol will gain a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently have this move, boasting 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily boosted to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your daily total to six.
