Priced at $109.99 and available at PlayStation Direct, The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition is set to launch on July 10. The Last of Us Complete isn’t just about the main storylines; it also includes all the bonus content released over the years. This encompasses the Left Behind DLC, which focuses on Ellie, as well as The Last of Us Part 2’s No Return and Lost Levels content. For those intrigued by the HBO TV series featuring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, this digital bundle is available for $99.99, offering an all-encompassing dive into the source material.

In a PlayStation.Blog post, Naughty Dog's Head of Studio Neil Druckmann announced that the physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition would include additional items to justify its slightly higher price. These extras include a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a personal thank-you letter from Druckmann.

Druckmann expressed gratitude for the community's support, stating, “From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years. This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love.”

Since its debut on the PS3 in 2013, The Last of Us series has remained a beloved staple in the PlayStation lineup. Despite its numerous re-releases and remasters, which have sparked both praise and criticism, the series continues to captivate audiences. The journey of Joel and Ellie was enhanced for the PS4 in 2014, remade for the PS5 in 2022, and followed by The Last of Us Part 2 in 2020, which itself was remastered in early 2024. Both titles have also made their way to PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 released in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.

The Last of Us Complete consolidates all of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic narratives into a single package, marking yet another re-release. While some may question the necessity of revisiting Joel and Ellie’s world, the timing aligns with the premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 this Sunday, with Season 3 already greenlit.

For those eager to learn more, you can explore why fans aren't expecting news on The Last of Us Part 3 anytime soon, and how Neil Druckmann and the team behind the show plan to continue the story in the future.
