In the world of *MLB The Show 25*, the grass might indeed seem greener on the other side. Thankfully, San Diego Studio’s baseball simulation offers a way to switch teams in the Road to the Show mode. Here’s how you can demand a trade and find a new home in the big leagues.
After wrapping up your high school career in *MLB The Show 25* Road to the Show, you face a choice: head to college to refine your skills or go pro with the team that drafted you. Regardless of your decision, you can eventually choose your destination in the major leagues. This flexibility is great because it lets you plan your career path. However, the dynamic nature of professional sports means a change of scenery can be beneficial.
In previous versions of Road to the Show, you could request a trade once you reached the majors. However, *MLB The Show 25* has changed this, and you can no longer directly ask for a trade. But don’t worry, there’s a clever workaround to help you switch teams sooner rather than later.

Navigate to the Sliders section in the Road to the Show settings, where you’ll find an option called “Trade Frequency.” This setting controls how often trades occur in the mode. By sliding it all the way to the right, you increase the likelihood of players, including yourself, being traded. However, don’t expect immediate results; other teams need to take notice of you first before they’ll reach out with trade offers.
Once you start generating buzz around the league, your agent will inform you, and trade offers will begin to come in. Take your time to evaluate your options, but remember, there’s no guarantee that teams will keep calling. If you find a destination that excites you, go ahead and make the move. Once you’re settled in your new team’s clubhouse, consider sliding the Trade Frequency back down to minimize further trade requests.
And that’s how you can demand a trade in *MLB The Show 25* Road to the Show. For more tips, check out the best hitting settings for *MLB The Show 25*.
